Is there anything better than the Smartrap?

The decision to print only pla was only about the kits i'm assembling to sell. I don't want of course to force people in any unique solution. I've just changed the bed support to be able to be more flexible with different systems, like an mk2 heated bed. It will be on thingiverse and github this week.

It's true also i've made the extruder integrated without any adjustment . It's the result of the simplification design process. I've seen reprappro did the same with the omerod . But there is need for a 3mm version of course, it's actually 1.75mm.
I used a classical rockstock extruder version before. It where cut to fit on top of the actual base_plate.

Yes, the actual version is printed parts only. That's the main challenge of this project : stick to printed part, even if we know it's more easy to make it in aluminium or steel frame I do believe there is one place for a good designed all printed parts reprap.. that takes time to have a really good version , a lot of time !
