Repstrapping blog

Hi,

I am trying to repstarp mendel by milling the plastic parts with a cnc wood router.
I started just a blog: http://finreprap.blogspot.com/

I have started to do a DXF files of some parts to this is the first

mendel_parts.dxf

There are 4 parts in this file each on own layer.
I have done these so that I can import them to the CAM and make programs for the CNC.

If I get done more files I will add them to my blog.

atorox, cool!

I'll start a wiki page on that for you. cnc fabrication of mendel seems pretty important. Vik Olliver is working on it as well.

Also, is it ok to move this to the Mendel forum?

Lastly, I'd suggest MDF or plywood if you're having trouble with plastic.

-Sebastien, RepRap.org library gnome.

Remember, you're all RepRap developers (once you've joined the super-secret developer mailing list), and the wiki, RepRap.org, [reprap.org] is for everyone and everything! grinning smiley

I would prefer doing from plastic for I think MDF would viable for repstrap but I would have to replace MDF parts ASAP or redesign parts on the other hand HDF would be intresting material.

I consulted the CNC specialists at work and they said that it is definetly doable.
