Making Cables 2 Pin Housing/Crimps

I noticed that part of the powercomms parts list and testing procedures include using the 2 Pin housing and crimp connectors. However, there are no instructions on how to fabricate the cables listed in the instructions.

I'm working on the repstrap McWire and I did not purchase extra connectors as far as I know. So I need to make a wire the correct length the first time and use it to short the Rx and Tx headers together so I can test the powercomms.

Can someone give me some instructions for this. Should I be using CAT5 wire? Are the cables wired straight thru or cross over?

With the TX & RX silk screen facing you connect the right hand pins of each connector together you can use just about anything this is a simple one time test so if you have small croc clip on a test lead use this be careful not to short to the adjacent pins as these are grounded and will stop the test working.
