GM3 @ 12v?

I'm using a GM3 solarbotics motor and get good results at 5v, but even better results at 12v. It seems to run fine at 12v, but i'm not sure how long it'll last. Is anyone here running there gm3 at 12v?

Thanks

I ran my 5v GM3's at 12V with 75% pwm and they did not last very long at all. The brushes wore out. I am now using a 12V version which has to be ordered from Solarbotics as a special by phone.

Solarbotics sells the GM3 with a motor built for 12v. You just have to call them and specify it. It doesn't cost a penny more. I have yet to wear one of those out.
