Best stand alone RepRap extruder?

Hi,

I'm doing a project at the moment adding 3D printing capabilities to a vertical axis CNC mini-milling machine.

I intend to use a RepRap extruder and would like advise on the best stand alone design (stepper motor and extruder next to the hot end without PTFE tube between them) at this moment in time.

Would the Wades geared extruder be a safe bet?

And for buying the kit in the UK, ebay?

I've been having consistently excellent performance from my BullDog XL/E3D v6 combo printing 1.75mm ABS..

Wades is good... But only as good as the quality of your hobbed bolt. Sounds like you may have the equipment to make your own.
