help me identify this leadscrew?

I have a bent leadscrew that I want to replace (its bent) but I can't precisely identify it.

It's 1.25mm linear movement per rotation.
An M8 nut fits onto it. It's the kind of nut that comes with black engineering-type bolts and it fits without binding but it's a little loose(some play in it).
That might be explained by the rod diameter. My vernier says its 7.45mm which is 3/10 inch.
So maybe its imperial?

I dont know if its T8 or M8 but it has the square-type thread.

Any insight would be gratefully received!

It appears to be an 8mmX1mm lead screw try here

After clicking on link change all to select then
select Pitch 1mm
select lead 1mm
select the desired length

Use your calipers to measure the distance between the threads, that should tell you the pitch, multiply by the number of starts to get the lead.

If a metric nut fits I'd wager it's metric. That thread looks trapezoidal to me from the pictures, and if memory serves metric and imperial trapezoidal threads use a different included angle on the trapezoids (not to mention different pitch) so I doubt a metric nut would fit an imperial rod. Any discrepancy in the pitch of the nut and thread (i.e. metric and imperial) would add up quickly over a few threads and it would bind entirely.

Also, pro tip, if your measurements are coming up too big, squeeze your calipers harder, if they're coming up too small, tilt your calipers a little off parallel tongue sticking out smiley Works every time.

Did you discover what lead-screw it is.
