Problems with x motor nut trap
February 02, 2014 12:48PM
I've been having endless problems with the nut traps, first on the x ilder and now on the x motor. Does anyone have a solution for this? I looked on Thingiverse for a replacement parts, but couldn't find anything that seemed like the right solution.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If your z-axis nuts are still sufficiently trapped to let you keep printing, you could print out some of these to relocate the nuts: [www.thingiverse.com]

You'll just be putting the nuts in a different trap, and the x-motor and x-idler will ride on top of them. As a bonus, no more plowing the nozzle into the bed, the x-axis will stop when it touches even if the z-axis keeps going down.

There's a lot of warping in the prints. I just added my bed leveling kit, so hopefully that'll help. I'll check the file out, thanks!!!
