Hello all

I read somewhere that someone had created a method to extrude a square arount the planned print area before actually printing. I cannot find it now ant my ooze is so bad that the first few lines of my raft are empty which screws everything up...

if anyone knows of where I can find this.

other problems as well such as chewing into feedstock but there you go.

There's an outline option in SF 35 but when I turned it on, it generated Gcodes that just moved the head around the outline at Z=0.0 but it didn't extrude: no E command. What am I doing wrong?

BTW, the outline feature doesn't go in the right location if Multiply is on. It stays around the origin (0,0) while the part moves to the new setting in Multiply, (100,100) in my case.

You have to have outline BEFORE hop instead of adding at the end!

On the thingiverse outline page the comments mention putting the outline before Dimension rather than before export (I think that is where the comments stated).

I got what you got brnrd, and then moved it to before dimension and now it works just fine.

Are you getting E codes otherwise? If not - you need to switch on dimension.

Thanks. I finally got it! Since I'm using SF with ReplicatorG 0023, outline was already included in the wrong way. So, I didn't understand what Bob meant by putting outline before hop. I saw the instructions once I found outline.py in the skeinforge_plugins folder. smiling smiley

Yes, I am using it with SF39.
Put it BEFORE the hop plugin (not at the end as in the instructions).
