Hi guys - looking for a source of stepper motors for the Prusa Mendel I'm building and can't seem to find any in the UK right now - is there a shortage or something? There are some on ebay, but they are about 25 GBP each and I'm looking for some a bit cheaper than that.

If you don't care getting used motors, you will have some cheap deals on ebay, for instance :

I have used those and they work great. I prefer the A version as it has a single shaft with flats on and longer wires.

How much longer are the wires? I like the idea of shafts at both ends, but not at the expense of wires that are to short.

I think type A is a flat shaft and about 3m of wire. Type B dual round shafts and 300mm of wire. It is detailed on drawing in the datasheets.
