Stepper driver for titan aero extruder

So I just add the titan aero to my printer. I am using TMC2100 as the driver and went to test it out. All I got was the sound of a loud vibrating motor.
Then I realised I hadn't adjusted the vref. Looked at the motor spec and noticed it is 1.68A phase and the TMC2100 only goes to 1.2A

Is the DRV8825 the way to go with that kind of motor?

DRV8825 is known to skip usteps at low speeds which creates weird artifacts in curved, printed surfaces. If you switch to DRV8825, get some diodes... do a search- this topic has come up a thousand times.

Ok I will look into that. Is there an alternative to the DRV8825

Installed the DRV8825, problem now is that the motor tries to turn (I see a twitch) and then stops. Not motor vibration like before.

I set the vref to 0.672 at first which was at 80%. I then upped the voltage to 0.9 which is 1.8A, more than what it needs. Still the same issue.

Ignore me, seems the motor is wired differently. Rotated it 180 and now it works
