Kossel 2020 autolevel z-probe not homing, not stopping

Hi all,

I've loaded the Kossel Mini firmware onto this printer. This is a Ramps 1.4.

I have z = 0mm being the bottom position, close to the bed, and 315mm it on the top, when the 3 carriages hit the stops.

I have not been able to run a home to 0 position and have the probe go toward the bed. Additionally, when the probe is moving in the z-direction, I'm holding a metal wrench close to the inductive probe, but nothing stops.

The inductive probe red LED is always lit, partially. When I bring the metal wrench around it, I see the light be brighter, but it doesn't go from no light to light, just some light to more light.

How do we configure the 0 position? I watched a lot of videos about setting the head to be 0.2mm from the bed, but I can't seem to set the 0 position.

What does "m119" tell you about the state of the z-probe when it´s partially lit and fully lit?
Is the sensor too close to the hotend?
Do you have to invert the signal?

What sensor are you using? And how is it wire up?

The normally 12mm sensor is 12volts and needes resistors to work.
Also it will need a ground and output 5volts qhen trigged.

But do the comman listed above.
It will check for the end stop status.
While the probe is in the air not touching the bed. It should read " open".
When metal is by it, it should light up and read "triggered".

Do this command read the status.
Then place a metal by the sensor and do cammon again
