Problems in calibrating the extruder
April 10, 2017 07:56PM
Hello everyone
I'm new to this and I'm not very familiar yet
The problem is that I can not calibrate the extrusion motor
Is of the direct system by means of gear teeth
I've read tutorials where it says how to calibrate through "DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {40, 40, 40, 96}" using the formula
But I can not calibrate it is but for more that it changes to any value always does the same route
1mm = 50mm
I'm forgetting to adjust something?

You have eeprom enabled, so it's reading the values from eeprom, not your config file.

to see your current settings.

Then, send
M92 E96
to adjust, and
M500 to save to EEPROM.

If asking for 1mm always gives you 50mm of filament movement, then you might have forgotten to set your microstepping jumpers underneath the extruder driver.
