Z wave (repeating wave in part along z-axis)

I have recently completed building a large custom delta. I printed out several test prints successfully and thought that I was finished until I printed a small cylinder and noticed a wave along the z-axis. This wave looks like a "sine" wave and repeats itself as it goes up the part. In the attached picture the wave is slight but noticeable.Does anyone know what might cause this?

Do you use v-wheels and does the circumfence of the wheels match the "frequency" of the wave?

The printer has linear rails and bearings, not v-wheels.

Now that you mention it, the circumference of the 16 tooth pulley matches the frequency of the wave. Thanks for the tip.
