Sorry for delay , avion23.
I'm printing from SD card all the time and I'm using S3D and Prusa Slicer. Right now when I tell the printer to extrude 100mm it will extrude 96mm. I'm going to work on the extrusion to get closer to 100mm.

I finally have some time to do the extrusion calibration and from 96mm / 100mm I managed to get 99.7mm / 100mm extrusion. I used this fixture from Sublime Layers : [www.thingiverse.com]
I changed the bearings and the belts . The printer is quiet now. I will start printing tomorrow to see if any changes are visible on the quality.

I finished some prints today. I did use Prusa Slicer for this prints. I don't know why I do have this lines.

Have you lubricated the magnetic joints? I use a little silicone grease.

Blt3dp, can you please share the link for Super Lube 92003 Synthetic Grease with PFTE what you use for your maglalls and rid ends. I can't find it. I found Super Lube 92003 Silicone Lubricating Grease with PTFE. Thank you

Those ridges are really similar to what I was getting. Make sure the nimble isn't pulling on your effector. You might still try printing that extruder I linked earlier too.

What do you think about trying this one just to see if the Nimble is the problem.

I will let you know when I have my hands on it. What Bowden tube should I use ? I know that are tons of Bowden tubes on Amazon. I have to order tube also.
Do you know any place where I can buy a quality Bowden tube ?

Shouldn’t really matter too much. If you want a quality tube you could go with Capricorn tubing.

Stay away from polyurethane tubing(PU). I switched over to linear rails on my Flsun CUBE printer and changed out my old Bowden tube (white firm Teflon) for some polyurethane tubing. It is very flexible and I took a length of it, wound it in a 4 inch diameter circle with 4 coils. Fed some filament through and it felt very smooth to manually feed it through the rolled up tubing. Put it on my printer, completely forgetting my "one change at a time rule' and then spent hours trying to figure out why my hotend kept appearing to be plugged after 5 minutes of use. Wasn't until I saw the old tube laying in the trash can next to my desk that I thought maybe that tubing is doing it. Changed just the tubing, ran the print job I had been trying for hours, and first shot it printed straight through, no issues. Don't know why the new stuff was causing issues, but I do know it was a waste of $7, and many hours of time.

I will say for the tension adjustment on the Hemera, twist the knob until the white wedge is flush with the edge of the tension arm and I found steps per mm 409 is perfect.

That is one of the best ones on the market. You are safe with that one. I recently got a proper tubing cutter(not metal tubing) with a length of the same hose you got. This cutter does not deform the hose like wire cutters do. It is a simple little clamp with a razor blade inside. Used properly you will a 90 degree cut perpendicular to the hose. And the hose is still round. Tubing cutter is the kit I got. That hose went on my Flsun QQ machine.

Would you mind sharing some pictures with your Hemera set up ? I want to change the position of my filament spool from the top of the printer to the bottom. What spool holder did you use ?

So I got 2 of these 1 1/2" black abs pipe caps from Home Depot.



Then i drilled a hole in the middle of one and mounted it to the frame.



Then I took the other cap and a section of pipe, cut to length, and used acetone to solvent weld them together.



Here's a shot from the front. I have the Hemera mounted on the Y tower, about half way up. I'm able to mount it on the side because my towers are 40x60, I have the space so the carriages won't hit it. You may have to front mount yours.

Actually, you might be able to side mount the Hemera, it doesn't extend past the face of the extrusion when mounted on the side.

Thank you for the pictures. Nice printer. Did you grease the gears with the grease provided by E3d or use the syntetic grease from Amazon ? What screws did you use for mounting the Hemera ? How long is the Bowden tube ?

I didn’t get any grease with the Hemera, they were advertising that it didn’t need lubrications. To mount it, I used m3x8mm to mount the Hemera to the mount, then it was m4x10mm to attach the mount to the frame. The bowden is about 615mm long, but my printer is also 200mm shorter than yours.

For the motor did you use the power cable provide by E3d ? Did you set the steps per mm to 409 ? Can you please help me with the set up for Hemera .

I did use the cable from e3d and I currently have steps per mm set to 409. I’ll see about my other settings when I get home.

I also have these set at the end of config.g. If you're going to flip between PrusaSlicer and Simplify, I would leave it. But you would also want to match up the Simplify retraction settings to these. You may also have to tweak the retract distance there cause you may need more if your bowden is longer.

I finally opened the printer to have access to Duet. My extruder Cable ( first from the left ) it has the wire starting with black, green,red and blue. The cable from Hemera has the wire starting with black, green, blue and red. Should I change the red with blue ?
