Excellent! I'll try to get the bug out of the extruder code (see previous) in
time...

no worries on the extruder... by 'final' i mean the final shipment
needed for the comms + 3 stepper boards. i wasnt sure what i needed
for the extruder one yet. i imagine i'll be making many more orders
to mouser.

also... today has been a great day! i just got a nice late-night
purchase i had forgotten about: 11lbs of ferric chloride. i'm SOOO
ready to start trying to make boards w/ reprap.

No worries! It's driving me demented (see mail I called Crazy Debug or
something...)

Excellent! Do not let FeCl3 within 50 paces of anything you value
(clothes, shoes, sinks, kitchen utensils, girlfriend, etc...) It gets
orange spots everywhere...

I suspect the 12v motor will probably be OK (though I haven't tried
it). The 6v motor has to be run at a pretty low PWM to work sensibly,
so just up that and the 12v should go fine.

oh, i've used FeCl before... thats how i made my last boards. i ran
out of it though and had to re-order. this time i went for a larger
shipment.

also... please let me know if i got the right motors. i dont see
anything on that url i linked to about voltage. the wiki should point
to the motor that people will use from here on out, not what was used
in the past.

I'm 99.73% sure that what you have will be OK. I'm running 6v motors
off a 12v board, which is not ideal. But the pulse-width modulation
makes them work perfectly. I just have to remember not to wind them up
too fast. 12v motors should be better, in the sense that it'll be
impossible to damage them no matter how fast you ask them to go.

So - if you have 12v and they work, we can add them to the page; if you
have 6v they'll work because mine do.

If the worst comes to the worst, I'll swap the ones you've got for some
of mine - I bought a bunch the other day.

Yours

Adrian
