Hi,

I set up a 1.4 Board with Arduino 2560 Mega and Sprinter-FW. Actually movements, endstops & fan works fine, temperature reading is fine as well, but I'm not able to switch any heating on (no extruder, nor heating bed). The LEDs keep dark, too. I'm connecting via serial monitor and send something like

M104 100

and the extruder should heat up to 100°C, correct? Well, it doesn't.

Any thoughts?

Probably your pin assignments.

Only if you have the correct pins mapped in the firmware.
II haven't used Sprinter, but I'd start by checking configuration.h then pins.h

In pins.h there should be a selection for RAMPS pre 1.3, and 1.3/1.4

Probably you have not set these.

Hi,

no, everything was fine, I hat to send >M104 S 100< for setting the extruder temperature (I was missing the >S< ). Next task is to get it to work with ReplicatorG, I'm on a Mac, is there any Howto or any better alternative tool? R.G is working somehow, but not fully.

On the Mac I use repetier host, it have a version of Slic3r built in.
Though more recently I've been slicing in KisSlicer and just using repetier host to control the printer, since I prefer it to the more commonly used Pronterface..
