I just got my hands on a Prusa Mendel and have been printing in PLA with a heated bed. It's taken me a while to figure out the best settings but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any configuration in which there are fans on either side of the X axis? I have a fan on one side and it does wonders with improving print quality on the side facing the fan. The reverse side of the model howver always has some imperfections. I take it that this can be helped by slowing the printing process down but I thought it would be more efficient to just have a fan on the opposite side of the extruder.
