hot end starts heating as soon as I connect it to gen 6 board.It just started doing this today .Ive re-installed the marlin firmware but still same problem What could be wrong?

Possibly a FET that failed short, so that 12V is applied to the output any time power is hooked up to the board.

That's the FET. The part number is IRF8714PBF if you want to try to replace it, but replacing a surface mount component isn't easy.
