PLA sticking to blue tape and glass

Hello, again! Every time I print something the item sticks very well to both the blue tape and the glass. I have watched several videos on how to print PLA, but all are how to get your print to stick. The print sticks so well that I broke the glass once trying to get the print off.

Last night I tried two small prints, one with heated bed and one without. Both stuck almost equally to both the tape and glass. I use a thin metal putty knife to peel the prints off. Almost never can I get the tape off the bottom.

Is there a trick I am missing?

The problem with your tape may be down to the quality of the tape.

I used to use tape but had a bunch of problems. I now use PVA glue diluted with water, painted on the heated bed. Sticks really well, stops warping and pops off easily when the heated bed cools.

Did you try PLA with just the heat on bare, clean glass? Your prints are trying to give you a hint when they stick to the glass through the tape..... smiling smiley
