Just checked my settings and yes, with 0.8.4 it doesn't happen, but with 0.9.0 and 0.9.1 it does. I have attached a screenshot of the error seen in Pronterface. The file I sliced is very simple: two cubes with a smaller cube in between. So this should be repeatable very easy. I hope this can be fixed in the next version, because now I reverted back to 0.8.4.

That screen shot does not look as if it would need support and from your description it should not need support because it is a bridge. Also 0.8.4 has a bug that makes everything the wrong size so you may not want to be using it.

Sorry that I did not explain myself clearly: the tree cubes are standing on top of each other. So support is needed, no bridging required. Besides this bug I do like Slic3r a lot for it's simple interface and fast slicing performance!

Thnaks for the info on the 8.4 size problem. Thought it was just me. It is not off by much but makes parts not fit together well.
