Z change before movement to seam position

Z change before movement to seam position
August 14, 2018 05:45AM
Good morning all,

Background: I am using slic3r to generate code for my Allevi bioprinter which essentially prints soft materials from a syringe.

Is there any way to make slic3r conduct the Z-change before it moves to the seam position to begin the perimeter on the next layer?

Just curiosity's sake and in an effort to minimise 'scarring' previously deposited material

Thanks in advance

Do you use 'Z-lift on retraction'? You can then check the 'retract on layer change'-box to add extra lift.
