It would be really nice if Slic3r could automatically put holes in support material to prevent the internal stresses from cooling ABS from peeling up the edges of long/tall support beams. I got the idea from
this Youtube video that's a little rough but definitely worth watching. Basically, you put horizontal holes through the beam, so that you don't have any fillaments that actually travel the entire length of the beam. This reduces the internal stresses, and you still end up with a fairly strong beam, that uses less plastic, and doesn't peel itself up as it gets taller.
