Ability to remove surfaces?

Ability to remove surfaces?

Wondering if it’s possible to exclude surfaces from manifold solids to be printed?
An example would be a simple cube. I remove the top surface but the rest is way, 3 layers thick. When the printer finishes, the infill will be exposed at the top.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

In the Print Settings>Layers and perimeters> Horizontal Shells> you can enter the number of solid top and bottom layers. You can enter 0.

Thanks for that. Any ability to select a particular surface though? I'm guessing not

You could add a sacrificial part to the surface, you like to have open. Then print it as usual and cut/grind off the sacrificial part.
Voilá, open surface...

If I wasn't able to get at the surface? Like it was an internal and I couldn't get at it?

Try using a modifier mesh that you can generate right inside the slicer. Click on the object (it should turn green), right click and select settings. Click create modifier. Play with the settings and put in 0 top solid layers at the top of the mesh.
