Finally got my printer back together after a bit of an issue with the thermister in the head. Turns out the graphite heatsink paste I used migrated and reacted with the copper leads leaving no more copper, sigh. Anyhow I was going to machine up some feet adapters for my lathe and before putting carbide to steel, I thought it maybe a good idea to check the design first by 3D printing it. Then I thought why not print the threads as well?
The result was a M20X1.5 external and M14X1.5 internal thread that meshed really well with industrial fasteners, first time!
I used KISSLICER with 0.1mm layers and PLA, so nothing special.
Anyhow the results are attached, no idea how smaller pitch you could do, but handy to know it is possible. If anybody wants the solidworks CAD to look at PM me and I can email it to you (it was to big to attach to this post).
