Mendel90 Speeds

Hi,

how is about speed recommendation with Mendel90?
i tryed yesterday to do realy fast prints at 100mm/s and 120mm/s perimeter and both
prints where still nice, specially for funtional parts more than ok.

But im not shure if it is bad for the printer itself and before i go on with printing so fast i wanted to be shure not hurting my M90.

Maybe nophead can tell us about maximum, best quality and infill speeds for pla and abs ?
Wich parts have less durability with faster prints ?

regards

I don't think you can hurt the mechanics by going faster. At some point you will hit the limit of the extruder flow rate, which depends on the viscosity of the plastic and also the rate at which you can melt it. Also at some point the increased pressure will cause ooze because you can't retract fast enough. You can extrude PLA a lot faster than ABS.

I have never explored the limits myself.
