fedora users beware the latest avr-gcc and avr-gcc-c++ update

Hi,

I added a footnote to another post that an update of avr-gcc and avr-gcc-c++ to 4.8.2 in fedora 19 produces a Marlin binary some 2kB smaller than the previous version.

Unfortunately this update breaks operation of Nophead's Marlin fork. It will build and upload correctly but you can only execute a few commands over the USB connection before the printer becomes unresponsive.

So please keep the following versions of avr-gcc and avr-gcc-c++ installed:
avr-gcc-4.7.3-0.1.fc19
avr-gcc-c++-4.7.3-0.1.fc19
and do not update to the following versions:
avr-gcc-4.8.2-1.fc19
avr-gcc-c++-4.8.2-1.fc19
I do not know what this will mean for fedora 20 because that will, most likely, ship with the 4.8.x versions and earlier versions may not be available. It might be time for Mendel90 users to migrate to a newer version of Marlin.

Regards,
Neil Darlow
