Z-axis bearings stuttering

Since the original Z axis coupling was always wobbling i did buy those:

7 days from china, new record.

Mounting them (i did thread M6 halfway in to accomodate the spindle) i did realize one of the linear bearings was rattling. Upon inspection i did see some balls missing in one race. I guess this was the "tac-tac-tac" i was hearing during Z movements. Since the printer works fine i did never bother to investigate.

Are those linear bearings delicate? Which are the handling procedures ?

Are those here the right type?

I would be worried about the X axis see-sawing as the weight of the extruder moves from one end to the other with couplers that are effectively springs.

I wouldn't describe them as delicate but it is fairly easy to knock the balls out if you insert the rod at an angle. As long as you notice at the time and catch it you can put it back in. A burr on the rod can also knock balls out but the rods we supply are burr free and slightly chamfered, so should not be difficult to insert without causing damage.

Yes the bearings are LM8UU.

TY

Ordered replacement. And, i remember a strange noise last time i inserted the rod, but i did never find any escaped balls.
