What is the distinction between the firmware forums?

There are quite a few "mainstream" firmwares now, and the line between them and the "experimental" is not so obvious.
Maybe there should be just one forum? Or forums for each "family" of firmware?

Nope. Forum consolidation won't happen. It was discussed quite a few times, the result is zero. Likely because it would require an admin to sit down for an hour or two.
