SD card issues
August 22, 2014 04:04AM
i suspect my sd card slot to be corrupted
after i exchanged the x-axis my sd card
wont load. i can contact the printer via pronterface
and make it move tough its giving back a wrong
bed temperature.

dc42 suggested that the sd card might be worn off.
so i tried out others - same result

also i tried to put the sd in with a piece of paper

davek said there might be bad soldering on the slot.
for me it looks kinda regular. but there ist a foto
attached hope its good enough so someonelse
can judge apond it

Unfortunately, the burnt-out ferrite resistor, just in the bottom left of your picture, will most likely be the problem. This protects the analogue ground from the Analogue to Digital Converters in the chip from the noise on the main ground. This also explains the incorrect temperature readings. It looks like something has shorted out, probably 12V through the 3.3V thermistor line, shorting the ADC in the ARM processor, and blowing the ferrite resistor on the way to ground. I expect the ARM processor may be getting hot? Unfortunately, the board will need replacement. If you think this is a warranty issue (as in, something you don't think you did, and the board was faulty), contact me on support@reprappro.com . Otherwise, we sell new Duet boards through our webshop.
