Error: Can't open 0:/www//currentsetting.htm to read, error code 4

Hi all
I have an ormerod 1 with dc42 hot end.Firmware 0.78za-dc42
Web control 1.03
Every now and then (approx every two minutes) I get the error in the message title
I have checked everything and can see no cause for this- can anyone help?
Have tried several sd cards rewritten them and also used several pcs - all with same problem - i also have several duet cards with same firmware and web control ( i have now tried web control 1.04)
They give same error - I know I am missing something probably very obvious
The duet also drops the connection randomly for no obvious reason

Hi, I tried installing the new www interface here, as I'm using the same firmware, and it's been fine till this evening....
Nope it wouldn't work for me.... ( I need to look at the network settings I think)... So I put the old www stuff back on, and that wouldn't work now.
So I tried using Pronterface, as I had some stuff to do...
Eventually it worked but in the mean time it also reported looking for files that mean nothing to me as you can see from the picture.
Going to guess it might mean something to DC (hopefully).

That's strange as there is no file currentsetting.htm in my version of the web interface, and I don't think there is any reference to it either. Maybe you have some browser addon or malware installed that keeps looking for that file.

Hi you may be correct re an addon
I have now found a report by some one who had the same error report [hummy.tv]
They had installed a netgear D6300 - I have also just installed the same router!!
Now to do further research - it looks as if my new router is the cause>

McAfees runs here, and hasn't reported anything. Also the files it's looking for are .g files.... In the /sys/ folder too....
How odd...

Hi all
sorted I think - turns out it was a utility called Netgear Genie which they supply free to monitor the network.
It records all new devices on the LAN as they connect - it appears to send out the request which produces the error. I have removed it and now the error messages has gone (I hope)
