Crossing belts or 2 level belts?

Has anyone used both ? 2 level belts would be a lot easier to implement . Another thing , looking at the picture I attached from fabtotum dot com , it looks like all 4 belts are attached to the hotend carriage and not one side passing through. Is that correct? This is on the 2 level design they have.

There are only 2 belts ( a blue one and a red one).
They are in different levels and both ends of each belt is attached to the carriage.

I run mine as the original CoreXY ( [corexy.com] ). This allows me to run the belts inside the 2020 profile:

I have not tried the two plane methods. I honestly do not think it makes any difference one way or the other. Belt length remains the same and you are never ever going close a fraction of the belt lifetime anyways.

Oh - Forgot to put in the point - The point being - Don't let your design be dictated by a belt path, let the belt path be dictated by whatever design you wanna go with smiling smiley
