Mendel Bearings

ok, so I pretty much have my Mendel built and have come to realize my bearings are too big for the extruder pinch wheel assembly. Does the extruder use a different sized bearing then the rest of the build, or have I used the wrong size bearings all around?

My 624's have a 4 mm ID and 13 mm OD, and seem to fit fine in the Mendel extruder. The Mk2 extruder needs a smaller bearing though.

Yeah i thought we needed to use standard skateboard bearings so my whole repstrap Mendel uses bearings that have a 7mm ID and approx 22mm OD sad smiley

In Canada, I get 624ZZ's from a bearing shop for less than the price of skateboard bearings, but of course your mileage may vary. Over here though, skateboard bearings have an 8 mm ID, which is kind of a pain if you don't want to use M8 bolts on everything.

Yeah I have 32 8mm ID and 22mm OD bearings that i used thinking they were the right size, i guess I'll have to build new ones once we are ready to build the plastic Mendel (very very soon).

Does anyone have a good online source for these?
