extruder and thermistor problems

hi again thanks for the help the last time. but i'm back again my reprap is built trying to get my first print now.
the problems oh i'm using gen 6 elec came with merlin installed. not getting any reading on repsnapper temp display so i think
it would be the thermistor so i put in a new one.
and no change still no reading. the is hot it melts the pla.
and the the other problem is the extruder i think its feeding to fast..

any help would great thanks..

What does the program read as a value (0, null, 9999, 23). If you dont see around 20-25 deg C on start up there is a connection issue.

Also, not sure what your hot end looks like but make sure that ther thermister is not grounding to the tip. you need to make sure that both wires from the thermister are insulated and are not shoring out to the extruder. This will throw off the over all resistance, thus throw off the thermister value.
