Extruder not extruding

Hi,

I built my first reprap pro Huxley. (First Reprap ever for me.)

Everything went great. (Took longer than I thought it would)

Except that when I went to run my first part everything ran except the extruder did not feed. It feeds fine with I use the extrude and reverse button on Pronterface.

Any help would be great.

Here are the first lines for a reprap part I was going to print

G21
M105
M106
M140 S60.0
M141 S30.0
M142 S0.0

What slicer are you using? skeinforge? If so, then you need to activate the dimension plugin.

I am using skeinforge.

I do not know what a dimension plugin is or how to activate it.

I am pretty weak on the software side of things.

Is slicer comparable to skeinforge?

Every plugin/module has a tab in the GUI!



Click on the one named "Dimension" and make sure its active box is checked.

This is needed to output the E codes that drive the extruder.

I have gone through all the button and drop downs on ponterface and can not find this page.

I am assuming it is in the skeinforge software, but I do not know how to access it.

As I said, software is my weakness.

I am encouraged by your reply.

If you could tell me how to get there I would greatly appreciate it.

If pronterface is correctly configured, you can get to the skeinforge main screen by going into the settings menu and selecting 'slicing settings'.

If not, you need to find skeinforge.py and run it.

I was unable to find the skeinforge.py

I did find the directory that contained all of the skeinforge files but none of them were able to run and show the config edit page.

I followed the directions on the reprap wiki closely, but I may have missed something.

I finally loaded another version of Pronterface that uses Slicer and that appears to give E words for extruder movement on a sample part I generated.

If anyone has a location to download Pronterface with Skeinforge for windows I would appreciate it.

I would like to try Skeinforge and Slicer. I think there is one more, does anyone know of others?
