Pronterface doesn't do this automatically - you must put this command in the gcode. Usually your slicer allows you to add a bit of code at the end. I have mine set up to shut off all the heaters, to move the head up and to the left, and to move the bed forward.
The specific command to shut off the bed is: M140 S0

I've got a ducted fan pointed at my board to keep cool while printing, but It shuts off at the end of the print leaving the board to overheat.
id like to start a print, go to work, girlfriends, whatever and not worry about over heating.
