Do you have your extruder thermistor connected? If you do, are you sure it is attatched securely and there are no loose areas in the connection?
It won't do much if it doesn't detect a working thermistor for the extruder.

Are you sure you have a thermistor a lot of those cheap hot ends from China are equipped with thermocouples two totally different things. Does it read ambient temperature if it doesn't then there's something wrong obviously

Can you put a picture where the thermistor is plugged in the board

I am not familiar with that board but they do sell a small board that takes a thermocouple input and changes it to a thermistor output. Your board might have the ability to read thermocouples I don't know

I have the same board and I need a small favour. First, let me try to help you the thermocouple should be connected to the Thermocouple as shown in the linked image (http://reprap.org/mediawiki/images/b/bd/Megatronicsv2_connectors.png). If you are using Marlin Firmware you should set your hot end sensor as either:

#define TEMP_SENSOR_0 -1

or

#define TEMP_SENSOR_0 -2

These are the Thermo couples in the list. You'll have to test them out make sure they can read ambient temperature before heating the hot end.

If you can help me out with this issue it would be great.

FYI, the Megatronics 2.0 board has two AD-597-based K-type thermocouple ports included on the board, in addition to the thermistor inputs. 99% of the printers being built will use the thermistor inputs, but this appears to be a hotend with a K-type thermocouple judging by the picture and attached specs.....
