So I'm currently in the middle of modifying a CubeXduo. I've removed all proprietary systems and have begun replacing them with standardised reprap compnents taken from my bukobot. Just finished modifying parts to construct the replacement extruder/hotend assembly. Hotend is for 3mm filament. No PTFE lining tube.
Now onto the axis motors. They are connecting to my azteeg3x controller board taken from my bukobot. Do I need to replace the motors? the cube's x and double y motors are 2.7v according to the manufacterer's data sheet. My bukobot uses 2.4v steppers. The cube's nema 23 Z stepper, I do not have the data sheet for. Can I use the cube's own axis motors or do I need to replace them with the bukobot's? What about the Z axis motor? can I Ieave that one and just replace the x and two y steppers? Can I have steppers of different volatages in the same printer?
