Density of PLA is 1.2-1.4 g/cm^3 depending on formulation.
Cross section area of 1.75mm filament is 2.4 mm^2, so 1000 mm of filament is 2400 mm^3
1 cm^3 = 10mm x10mm x 10mm= 1000 mm^3
So 1m of filament is 2.4 cm^3
Assuming PLA is 1.3g/cm^3, and you have 1000 g, 1 kg of filament should be 1000g/1.3g/1 cm^-3 = 769 cm^3
769 cm^3/2.4 cm^3/1m = 320m of filament on a 1 kg spool.
