heater error: system halted

hello,

Im having problems with my extruder, whenever i connect to my printer and tell it to heat up the extruder, in the middle of heating up, around 100 degrees it gives of an error
11:24:51.325 : Error:Heating failed, system stopped! Heater_ID: 0
11:24:51.329 : Errorrinter halted. kill() called!

i can sometimes manage to get it to heat up to the required temp by quickly reconnecting and continuing but even then the temperature would start to drop randomly by like 20 degrees and then start to heat up again,
not to mention that it wont extrude anything.

can anybody tell me how can i prevent it from at least giving off that error?

The error is a safety feature, it is detecting that although its putting lots of power into your hot end its not heating up as expected


By passing it would not be wise


Check all your wiring going to your hot end, heater and thermistor, both hot end end and board end. You probably have a loose connection

Are you saying that there might be a short somewhere?, because i checked, and there arent any.

could maybe the the wires of a thermistors are too thin?

Check that your thermistor is firmly held in the hole in the heater block.
