Z-axis movement (CNC mill)

Hello!

My project group is currently making a prototype of a RepRap CNC mill.

Do you have any suggestions for Z-axis movement? (see attached photo)
We are using stepper motors, linear bearings, and threaded rods.

This is just the first prototype (unfinished)!
