Contributing as a Writer?

Contributing as a Writer?

Hey there.

I'm quite interested in helping the RepRap Project with its goals.

However, I'm not much of a physical engineer, in either the mechanical or electronic realms (degree in EE notwithstanding). I'm a decent coder, but my strength there is in Python, not Java or C-targeted-at-an-embedded-processor, although I understand (and can code) in both languages.

I do fashion myself a writer, though, and I feel that (at least for now) my energy would definitely be best spent there. So ... is that something potentially useful for you folks? I'd be willing to /try/ writing anything, although technical documentation that requires me to look at PIC assembly could perhaps take me a bit longer than other potential projects.

I expect you could be very useful indeed! Although I doubt VERY seriously that RepRap would ignore your offer, in the unlikely event that they do drop me a line.

I think Zach would be a good person to have a chat too. He has a good handle on what documentation needs a hand, 'cos he's doing a lot of it himself...

If not, I've a bunch of stuff that needs documenting and so forth.

Thanks for the pointer, Vik. I just sent Zach a private message to that effect.
