Ponoko Extruder Gear Motor

Hi Guys!

I need some help in ascertaining the type of gear motor used in construction of the Ponoko Extruder.What is the motor used and where to get it? Help is much appreciated in this matter. Thank you

It's a Solarbotics GM3. Don't order off their website. Call them and specify their 12v, not their 6v motor. The cost is the same, but there isn't any way to order the 12v off of their website directly. The 6v has carbon brushes while the 12v has platinum, iirc.

Zach also has the 12 V GM3's in stock over at the RRRF.org. Handy if you're already ordering PCB's from him. I've got two of them, and they're tougher than you'd think!
