PLA Temp needs to be ~250 to extrude?

Hello,

I am using an E3D chimera, and i have configured marlin to use option 5 for the thermistors (i think, based on what i know about arduino IDE) however, it seems like my extruders will jam unless i crank the tempature up to ~250c. I don't have an IR thermometer handy.. but if the only way to figure this out is to get one i guess i'll save up.

Thanks for any insight... The prints look OK when the print out so i'm guessing this is a issue with reading the tempture most likely?

I haven't found the IR thermometer to read correctly off the hot end anyway.

You might want to contact e3d and see what they suggest for your thermistor setting...
