As the title says, I am buying a Makerfarm Prusa i3v 12". Does anyone have any reviews or tricks for little things that will make the print quality better? Also, what mods are there for the printer, to increase speed for accuracy?

Hi,

Actualy the Pegasus is a better kit, less expensive @ makerfarm.
I realy like V-groove rails. And the mostly aluminium frame of the Pegasus is a good point.
And that shop offers a good support/build instructions.
Otherhand, there's things I dislike about makerfarm's kits :
- threaded rods for Z transmission
- no wire management
- 16bits ramps electronics

You need to know how you are going to buy it! The makerfarm kits are awesome, I have used three different ones I have built nine Prusa I3s personally, I like the kit ALOT. I like it because it is upgrade-able, and the the company has great customer service. I would suggest direct driven extruder as the only change. The units are upgrade-able and open source, if you buy a makerfarm and want to mod it change it no problem. I suggest that you go with the J head, and maybe he ED3 hotend screw the others.
