I'd like to try and machine my own parts. I really liked the BitsFromBytes lasercut parts I saw at the HacDC Build-A-Thon this weekend. One of the frequent complaints from the reprappers was that the parts are prone to crack and warp under heat. So I would like to build the same machine using wood and aluminum parts. Are there 2D drawings of these parts that are to scale or with dimensions labled on them?
If Not
What is the easiest way for someone who is NOT sharp with 3D Cad software to obtain the sizes of these parts? And where would I download those 3D Drawings?
