I wanted to try MK7/MK8 gear for extruder on my 3d printer. Unfortunately, waiting ~30 days for gear to arrive is too long. Asked my friend to mill it to me on lathe. he made few good bobbins for me. But now I need to turn this bobbins into gears. Any suggestions how I can cut those hitched? One option is using tap. Will it work good? Or it will make slightly angled hitches that would push filament out of the groove?
