Comfy computer chair

I am looking for a comfy computer chair.

Just like this
[www.opsvik.no]
or this
[www.luxurylaunches.com]

They are very expensive, we are talking 20000 DKr ~(2700 Euro) for a new and 9000 DKr ~(1200 Euro) for a used.

Now seems to me that the parts of the chair like that could be repreped. And after a little assembling your would
have a comfy chair,if your add a pillow.

Okay, your reprap would have to be bigger.

Now your could also scale the model down and make a doll house chair.

In fact all furniture could be scale down to doll house size.

So do you think it is possible to build a (big) reprap and print a chair for under 2000 Euro ?

And since your making it yourself your can add a trackball and a cord keyboard into the armrests.

Perhaps a nice in-between would be to print replacement arm-rests that would fit over your chair? I'd love to see an up-scaled RepRap. The resolution you'd want for larger objects isn't that high either, so you could settle for a 1 mm extrusion hole for faster printing. You could certainly print it for less than 2000 euros unless you use massive amounts of thermoplasts...

Once you have a reprap then you can print parts for a larger one. The parts may need a little re-designing, and may need to make some other changes e.g. move to plumbing pipe instead of steel rod etc, but I can't see why it shouldn't be possible
