"ALUHOTENDv1"

Here is my all metal aluminium hotend, so far tested to 320c(thermister limit) and will happily extrude abs and pla with no active cooling , it is designed in such a way that the meltzone is at a constant spot, it will fit in any extruder that carries a jhead, weighs only 39 grams, and finished off with a light sanding,

currently only for 1.75mm filament, (3mm one comming soon),
for those with a bowden tube setup i can put a threaded part in the top for a pneumatic tube connector,

$80AUD with a heater cartridge

free postage within Australia
email me: cjbate@attglobal.net with your address for shipping costs internationally

discounts available for groups,

given the feedback i've had in regards to concerns about strength of the thermal barrier, i thought i might post this image (see attachment) there's about 4.5kilos or 9.9 pounds pulling down on it with no sign of any bending of flexing,

Looks good. Similar to the tiny thermal barrier I saw on prusa's i3 in NY. I was worried about strength a bit too, good pic to show the strength!

Nice looking hotend...I looked at your website, do you have a video or could you post one with this hotend being used? I'm really interested in getting on of these.

Thanks!

Get sure to let us know when you start doing 3mm filament one please.

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.
