Auction for mendel-parts in Germany spinning smiley sticking its tongue out AUCTION IS OVER
February 01, 2010 01:25PM
Is anyone interested in having a set of mendel-parts printed?
If there is interest I would start an auction at a minimum of 120eur
to be payed when they are done (can take serveral weeks untill all
parts are made).

They would be printed in white ABS on a RepMan, probably with 0.25mm
layer-height.

Two answers are enough, no need for a giant "mee too"-list,
no discussion about a price. When there are 2 prople interested
I´ll start an auction on ebay.de. If one one person is interested,
the price is fixed at 120.

Update: Skeinforge calculated 118h of build time + setup/cleaning + mabe 20% bad/aborted prints. So I may go with 0.35 or 0.40mm layers where it does not matter.

Update:
okay, auction has started.

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320483562224

The first 18 parts are already printed and counting.
In 10 days we will have a winner who gets the set.
After that I´ll decide if I print more.

Update: (2010-02-10)
only 7 parts + 2 frame-vertices left to be printed

Update:
The auction is over. The price was 226,83 eur.

if you can ship to usa, i'm interested. im having a hellova time finding the printed parts
Re: Auction for mendel-parts in Germany - shipping to USA
February 02, 2010 11:57AM
I can ship everywhere.

Shipping to the US is 34eur extra (it can be done cheaper but after 100+ hours of
printing I really like to have tracking and insurance. winking smiley ).
For Germany it would be 4eur and thus does not really matter.

I guess for the USA the simplest payment would be Paypal.
For the paypal fees that would be +5%.
For EU it would be a SEPA bank transfer that usually has no
fees at all.

So the biggest issue is just that I´ve already begun printing
and of cause started with metric parts. But I can do imperial
ones as well.

I am also interested!

Only have a few of the thick cut parts to make and then it is only the RP parts that I am missing!

I´ll decide that after this set is done.
It´s a lot of work and this is not the only thing
I want to use my precious free time for.

Status: 24 parts done, 80 to go.

Re: Auction for mendel-parts in Germany - auction status: 4 days left

The Auction is currently 139eur and ther are still 4 days to go if you want the parts.
It is unlikely that I´ll make another set after this one for a while.
(So much else to print. So much to do besides printing all the time.)

Re: Auction for mendel-parts in Germany - new photo added, 70 of 95 parts done
February 06, 2010 01:38PM
I added a new photo of the parts produced by now.
It´s comming along nicely and by this night only the
parts starting with y* and z* should be left to do.

70 of 95 parts done and still printing...

Are you making only one set?

Are you making a set for yourself as well?
Re: Auction for mendel-parts in Germany - only _1_ set of parts

I´m not building a mendel.
My RepMan and some replacement-parts for it are all I need.

One set is more then enough work.

Re: Auction for mendel-parts in Germany - status update
February 10, 2010 01:17AM
3 days 8 hours left to go.

Only 13 parts left to be printed.

Additional photo being uploaded.

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320483562224

Still shipping worldwide.
Print Quality on the RepMan is better then what most of the RepRep Mendel and Darwin
produce. (printing at 0.25mm layer height and 16mm/s)

I don´t know yet.
First I´ll build my heated bed and buy an Aligre Design
-license with half the money.
Then build some other stuff that had to wait while I
printed all these parts.
