I'm a fan of Pronterface myself, with Slic3r for slicing. At first I did not like the two pieces of software operating separately, having become so used to ReplicatorG (for my Makerbots). It was well worth getting used to them. They both have nice configuration options for beginner and advanced users but nothing overwhelming.by meztek - General
I have tried both a 3D printing pen and using one of my extruders as a hand-held device. The printing pen was a bit of a disappointment up close. It jammed easily, made a lot of noise, and was much more difficult to use than the videos make it look. Holding an extruder is even more difficult since the activation button was in my other hand and the extruder has a fair amount of hot zones. I haby meztek - General
I have a lasercutter and it would be much easier for me to produce a fully-lasercut frame than to print one. While searching online, I found only this link. Please note: I am not advertising for the linked company.
